About Bert

Bert Gent is a new Senior Loan Officer joining the Embrace team in Ashburn, VA, where he generates and closes loans to help borrowers from a variety of financial circumstances accomplish their homeownership dreams. Prior to Embrace, Bert worked with the Caliber Home Loans team in a similar capacity. He saw an opportunity to work for a company whose mission and values are the same as his and that prioritizes exceptional customer service. VA loans and Embrace’s Affordable Housing programs also inspired him to work with us, as he shares our commitment to helping people buy homes. Bert has also been recognized in 2021 and 2022 among the top 1% Mortgage Originators in the country.

Bert grew up in Alexandria, VA, and lives in Opal with his four daughters and his pet dog and cat. When he’s not helping clients, he enjoys time outdoors riding motorcycles and off-road vehicles, hunting, fishing, and playing men’s softball. You can also find him relaxing by the water with family — whether beachside near the ocean or out on the lake or river by boat — before a good seafood dinner.
