‘Team’ is the right choice of words to describe our office environment. To elaborate, if someone is having a problem working on a tough loan, we all pitch in to help because we truly all want everyone to be successful here. There isn’t anyone in our office that’s just looking out for themselves. I take pride in the fact that I have helped to foster this atmosphere.
When I am looking to add to my team with additional LO’s my first thought is, are they going to mesh well with my current staff, will they be a good fit for our team atmosphere? If I feel they will be a good match for our team members, then I start thinking about the qualities they possess that will enable them to be successful and what qualities I can help to build upon to bring them to the best version of themselves. Qualities that I find useful are: honesty, organizational skills and the will to be successful.
So, you’re probably asking yourself, what do I do differently than branch managers from other companies. Well, first of all, I sit right with all of my LO’s, not behind an office door. This way, I’m there for you whenever you need me, always accessible to help my LO’s in anything they may need whether it be it help with a difficult loan or just some needed encouragement. I also like to get together with my LO’s on a regular basis to strategize and set goals, to develop marketing plans and to help cultivate additional referral sources as well as how to maximize their current customer base.
