Ted Schirm Jr.

A 20-year veteran in the mortgage industry, Ted Schirm Jr. comes to Embrace as a senior retail loan officer. He has dedicated his career to helping people achieve the dream of homeownership, from guiding them though budgeting to negotiating purchase prices and celebrating at the closing table. He made the move to Embrace in order to keep up in a rapidly changing real estate market. He was impressed by the way Embrace is always coming up with new ways to help people achieve the American Dream with unique products like Approved to Move Plus, which waives the appraisal contingency, and eSnapp, the app that lets you take care of the loan process from anywhere you take your phone.

Ted has lived in Fanwood, New Jersey, since 1973, and still lives there today with Suzi, his lovely wife of 22 years. Always with a good aptitude for financial analysis, he received a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Peter’s College in 1993. Their daughter Meghan is currently a freshman at Penn State University, and their son Theodore “TJ” Schirm III is a junior at Union Catholic High School. Completing their happy family is their rescue dog Libby, also known as “The Lady Liberty,” as she was born on the Fourth of July. Ted sits on the Board of Trustees for the Westfield Knights of Columbus/Columbian Club, and he has qualified for club-level sales awards at the numerous lending companies where he’s worked throughout his career.

This hardworking loan offier is not only successful in the mortgage industry, but also in the kitchen. He enjoys cooking and hosting dinner parties frequently at home. (Fun fact: he even prepared Chicken Francais once for the Executive Chef of Del Frisco’s in NYC, who said he’d gladly serve it in his restaurant!) What’s his idea of the perfect day?
