Jake kept us updated at all times, and explained what he was doing. He kept all of our data so we didn't have to reproduce all of our paperwork from a prior refinance. Jake found us a great deal with excellent terms. Most of all, he reached out to us when he saw that we were selling our home. Thank you Jake.

The nearly 2-month process was oftentimes frustrating because the underwriters kept asking for more documents. In the Embrace portal, it noted that my loan had been "approved"; however, it was only "conditionally" approved. This caused confusion & frustration over the course of several weeks. Each time, I would call Jake, he readily picked up my call. He always managed to calm me down with a logical explanation. He let me speak without interrupting me and was patient and understanding. He is the ultimate professional and is a credit to your agency. The only recommendation I have for Equity going forward is this: Collect ALL THE DOCUMENTS UP FRONT AND THEN ORDER THE APPRAISAL. Asking for documents piecemeal over a 3 week period frustrates a client. Perhaps you're reviewing too many applications at one time but you really need to concentrate on a managable number of them at one time. There were several times when I was asked for yet another document, and I was ready to cancel my application; however, Jake with his brilliant, calm and patient style always managed to settle me down. I'm glad he did because my loan was approved really because he hand-held me through the process. He emits a sense of trustworthiness as well which probably kept me engaged in the process. So to summarize: I recommend in good faith that Embrace change their mortgage application process in a way that they gather ALL documents first and THEN ORDER THE APPRAISAL. Also, don't use the term "conditional approval" because it gives clients a false sense that the loan was actually approved, especially when the balloons are flying up in the message. Lastly, I would recommend that Jake get a raise because I put the poor guy thru a lot, even calling him on Saturdays and Sundays when he still picked my call! Embrace: Keep your top performers and reward them accordingly and often. You don't want to lose him, believe me! He's 5 star!! Respectfully submitted! Millie A.
