Laura Dorsey is a Senior Loan Officer joining us in Tampa, Florida, where she focuses on mortgage origination to help borrowers meet their unique financial needs. Embrace’s sales and marketing support and products, including doctor and condo loans, inspired her to come aboard to better help borrowers, REALTORS®, builders, and industry partners. She also understands the value of a good corporate culture. Many of Laura’s clients have become friends, and she doesn’t plan on that changing — it’s just how she does business. Committed to serving borrowers efficiently, effectively, and in a meaningful way, Laura views the mortgage process as not simply a transaction but a broader financial tool that needs to be handled smoothly with care and concern for a client’s present and future needs.

Laura’s overall work ethic and excellent customer service speak for themselves. Her accolades include Venice Area Board of REALTORS® Affiliate of the Year, Venice Area Board of REALTORS® Scholarship Committee Chair (where she raised a considerable amount for local scholarships through an annual golf tournament), Chairman’s Club Elite, and Cross Sales Champion #1 in the company. She also ran her own mortgage broker business that still exists today, Gulfside Mortgage Services in Venice, Florida, which at one time had three locations and 35 originators.

In addition to her industry experience, Laura is also passionate about supporting the American Cancer Society (where she was a past board member), Bikers Against Child Abuse (where she was a member and child liaison advocating for abused children), the Avalon Center working to end domestic and sexual violence, and The Hope Foundation for cancer research.

Laura grew up in Port Richey, Florida, and now lives in Jamestown, Tennessee, with her family and many pets (dogs, goats, chickens, and a barn cat). She enjoys farming, woodworking, being a good steward to all animals, and riding her Harley.
