About Steven

Steven Yescott is a new Loan Officer joining the Embrace team in Maine, where he strives to help borrowers in the Portland and Scarborough area find the home, second home, or vacation home they can afford with the right loan to suit their unique financial situation.

Prior to Embrace (and entering the mortgage industry overall), Steven served as a youth pastor for 28 years between 4 different churches, including 10 years in South Portland and around 10 years before that in Boca Raton, Florida. He was responsible for leading all areas of the youth ministry at a church with 2,000 attendees, over 200 students involved in the program, and over 30 adult volunteers. A long-time interest in personal finance and previous assistance helping people establish budgets for their children’s college expenses, home purchases, retirement savings, and overall money management made the switch to the mortgage industry a natural one. With his honesty, integrity, and background in serving a broad community, we’re certainly glad to welcome him to the team.

Steven grew up in Farmington, Connecticut, graduated from Gordon College, and currently lives in Scarborough with his wife. He has three daughters, two sons-in-law, and is soon to be a grandfather. In his spare time, he enjoys reading at the beach and following the Boston Red Sox, Bruins, and New England Patriots.
