Thanks for choosing us as “Charity of the Month” and helping to raise $1000 to support the programs and services of the Alzheimer’s Association Rhode Island Chapter. The contribution directly supports Alzheimer’s families and healthcare professionals dealing with the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease. The Rhode Island Chapter offers to the community a 24/7 Helpline, Support Groups, Training and Education Classes for Families and Healthcare Professionals, and our newest program called Live & Learn for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. There is a weekly Live & Learn program in your area, St. Lucy’s Parish Center, Middletown where persons with early memory loss can go to socialize, and exercise while giving the care partner some much needed respite.

Embrace Home Loans Charity of the Month
Alzheimer’s is a disease that will touch most of us at some time in our lives. Today 5.4 million Americans have Alzheimer’s, and that number will triple by 2050 if no cure is found. Your generous contribution means a great deal to the over 25,000 loved ones here in our small state who have Alzheimer’s disease and the 100,000 caregivers who are affected by it. We appreciate your dedication to the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association – “to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.” For more information on our services, go to Thanks so much for your kindness. Ken Pratt, Vice President and Embrace Home Loans Team 6 - Team leader chose the Alzheimer’s Association Rhode Island Chapter as the beneficiary of this month’s Charity Challenge.
“Having had a parent with this affliction, I am unfortunately too familiar with the heartache this brings a family. While they can be physically fit, to watch them lose their recall of dates, names and memories can be so hard on everyone. Also the pressures on the caregiver, to manage two people at a time when they were supposed to share times together becomes the caregiver solely handling all the pressures of everyday challenges. I am proud to work for a company that supports the community in this fashion….while each day we help and assist customers with financial goals and dreams…we also know that there are many other people in this world that need help in other ways…Embrace Home Loans is a great community helper in so many ways!!!!”
The donation made by Embrace Home Loans is part of an ongoing competitive challenge made by management to the Loan Officers at Embrace’s corporate office based in Middletown, RI and the company’s 19 branch offices. As a business incentive and reward for meeting and exceeding Embrace Home Loans business goals and objectives. A monthly competition between Retail and Direct Loan Officers has been established called the “Charity of Choice” Competition. The division winners of the competition receive a charitable donation from Embrace Home Loans made out to the charity of their choice. “Charity of Choice” Competition winners from Embrace Home Loans donate $1,000 each consecutive month through December 2011 to a local charity which has been nominated by the winning team and selected by it’s employees.
